姚新中， 1957年生，河南驻马店人。1988年在中国人民大学获得哲学博士学位，1990年赴英国肯特大学进行博士后研究，现为英国伦敦国王学院宗教与伦理学教授，中国中心主任，中国人民大学哲学院兼职教授，博士生导师。曾任英国威尔士大学神学与宗教研究系系主任，牛津大学 Ian Ramsey Centre 高级研究员，剑桥大学 Clare Hall 学院终身成员。 高等教育经历： –郑州大学中文系新闻专业 （1976.10-1978.1） –中国人民大学哲学系哲学学士，硕士，（在职）博士（1978.10-1988.7） –英国威尔士大学（在职）哲学博士（1992.10-1995.6） 主要工作经历： –中国人民大学助教，讲师, 伦理学教研室副主任（1985.7-1990.9） –英国肯特大学博士后研究员（1990.9-1991.9） –英国威尔士大学研究员，讲师，高级讲师，副教授(Reader)，教授（1991.10-2003.12） –英国牛津大学曼彻斯特学院, Ramsay Research Centre高级研究员(Senior Research Fellow)（2004.1-2007.12） –英国伦敦国王学院教授, 中国中心主任（2008-）

English Resume Yao Xinzhong, a native of Zhumadian City, Henan Province, was born on the 9th, February, 1957. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy at Renmin University of China in 1982 with a BA in Philosophy, and was awarded with a PhD in Ethics in 1988. Sponsored by a British Council Scholarship, he went to University of Kent, England for postdoctoral research in 1990. He started teaching at University of Wales, Cardiff and Lampeter from 1991 when he was appointed as research fellow in religious ethics. He was then appointed Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader, and Professor in Wales before going to University of Oxford as a senior research fellow (Ian Ramsey Centre). He accepted the appointment of Professor of Religion and Ethics and the Director of King’s China Institute, King’s College London in 2008. He has been an adjunct professor and OhD supervisor at Renmin University since 1999.
